An integral part of the Preschool teaching team, Jane Kreifels brings more than 30 years as an early childhood educator to St. Joseph Preschool families. With 20 years as a daycare provider and over 10 years as a preschool teacher, Mrs. Kreifels holds an Associate degree in Early Childhood and a B.S. degree in Education. She works closely with fellow Preschool teacher, Marie King, to keep St. Joseph Preschool at the forefront of its peer schools, utilizing the latest best practices in reading, technology, and early learning. Her training and continuing education include the Love and Logic Institute, the UNL Early Childhood Curriculum Symposium, Nebraska Reading First, the Sonday Reading System, and more. She was also featured in the early childhood publication “Extending the Dance in Infant and Toddler Caregiving.” Mrs. Kreifels belongs to the National Association for the Education of Young Children and has been locally recognized as a Lincoln Journal Star 2010 A+ Educator of the Week and the KFOR Employee of the Week. She has also volunteered for the Special Olympics, the Foster Care Review Board, and the Boy Scouts.
