Emily Daniel has been teaching in Nebraska Catholic Schools since 2005. She was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa and moved to Nebraska to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Upon graduation, she began her career at St. James School in Crete. Two years later, she moved to St. Teresa School in Lincoln, where she taught for 12 years. While teaching full-time, Emily continued her education and received a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane University. In 2019, Emily married her husband Seth and moved to the Omaha metro where she taught Junior High math at Mary Our Queen School for 4 years. In the fall of 2020, Emily and Seth had their daughter, Ellie, the absolute light of their lives. Ever since, they have been longing to return to the Diocese of Lincoln and to raise Ellie in the wonderful community that exists there. Emily is so excited to be joining the staff at St. Joseph in August of 2023 and to finally be back ‘home’ in Lincoln.
