Hello! My name is Abby O'Brien! I graduated from Blair High School in 2019 and moved to Lincoln, NE, to earn my degree in Elementary Education! Over the past four years, I have been involved at the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center on campus, where I truly came to know the Lord! The Newman Center also provided me with a strong community and support system of friends that share the same faith, which is why I have decided to stay and start my career here in Lincoln! In my free time, I love to read, get outside, and spend quality time with friends and family. I am beyond excited to join the team here at St. Josephs and meet the community. After several years of practicums, subbing, and working at daycares/summer camps, I have learned that students thrive best in safe, comfortable environments where they feel loved. I hope to strive daily to create a space where my students know they are loved and seen! It has been a dream to teach second grade, so I feel very blessed to be a part of my future student's journey as they learn more about what it means to be a son and daughter of God, especially as they receive their first communion and reconciliation!
