Hi there! My name is Monica Condon, and I am the Director of the Beyond the Bell Enrichment Program. Originally from Bellevue, I moved to Lincoln at the start of high school and graduated from Pius in 2015. After that, I lived in New York for a little over four years where I earned a degree in English from Fordham University. I returned to the Midwest after college and have since enjoyed my time being back, closer to family.

I live with my sister/BFF/nemesis/creative partner/sous-chef, Madeline, who graduated from the University in December, and our two cats–Charlie and Lily. We love to busy ourselves with any number of creative pursuits in our free time, and hang out with our family (our parents– Pat and CarolAnn–who are parishioners at St. Joe’s, my sister’s boyfriend Max, and my boyfriend Luke). When I’m not crocheting, drawing, reading, writing, or deep in conversation, you can find me outside on a run or reflecting quietly on the intricacies of God’s beauty in nature. I like thinking to think and talking to talk, and love working with kids, because their curiosity and enthusiasm for the world pairs wonderfully with these qualities. Before this, I was a Special Education paraprofessional with LPS!

I love the close-knit and spiritually-based community here at St. Joe’s which has been so warm and welcoming thus far. I enjoy getting to know the students and finding out what elective things they’d be excited to learn about after school (going to try to get everyone interested in fiber arts; expect lots of knit/crocheted creations, apologies in advance for errant yarn).

Please feel free to reach out and introduce yourself, ask me any questions, or offer suggestions so that I may be the best addition to the St. Joseph’s family that I can.
