Hello! My name is Monica Bird. I was born in Omaha, Nebraska, but grew up in Springfield, Missouri, with two older brothers. I’m excited to be coming back to my “roots!” I love to crochet, draw, cook, and take walks. I also have a soft spot in my heart for all animals, especially cats and dogs.
I graduated from Missouri State University with a B.S. in Administrative Management and a B.S. in Education. For the past two years, I’ve been working as a special education paraprofessional in Springfield Public Schools. Working with these students has been an amazing learning experience and I love seeing them accomplish their goals.
I look forward to joining the St. Joseph School staff and faculty for the 2024-2025 school year! I can’t wait to be working in an atmosphere where the Catholic faith is shared and the education of the students has a Catholic foundation. I know it’s going to be a fantastic year!
