Student Life

At St. Joseph Catholic School, student life is a vibrant blend of faith, academics, service, and enrichment activities that help students grow into well-rounded disciples of Christ. We believe that learning extends beyond the classroom and into every aspect of a child’s development.

Faith & Formation

Faith is the foundation of student life at St. Joseph. Students participate in daily prayer, weekly Mass, sacramental preparation, and religious instruction. Virtue education and spiritual reflection are woven into the school day, helping students grow in their relationship with God and one another.

Academics

Our rigorous academic program includes core subjects such as language arts, math, science, and social studies, as well as enrichment in art, music, Spanish, physical education, and computer science. Junior high students have access to electives and advanced programs like the Quest Program and SCIP (School Community Intervention Program) for academic and behavioral support.

Service

Loving service is a key component of student life. Students in grades 1–8 complete service hours each year, contributing to their families, school, parish, and broader community. Service logs are maintained and students are recognized for their contributions throughout the year.

Activities & Clubs

Students enjoy a wide variety of activities that enrich their educational experience:
  • Field Trips: Two per year for each grade level
  • Annual Events: Red Ribbon Week, Catholic Schools Week, Science Fair
  • Student Council: Leadership opportunities for upper grades
  • Pro-Life Club: Junior High 4 Life (JH4L) meets monthly
  • Page One: Diocesan literary program for grades 3–8
  • Scouting: Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Girl Scouts
  • 4-H STEM Club: Hands-on science and engineering fun

Athletics

St. Joseph offers a variety of athletic programs that promote teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness. Students can participate in sports such as basketball, volleyball, and track, with opportunities for both recreational and competitive play.
