Message from Fr. Buhman

Dear Friends of St. Joseph School,

Education is about much more than test scores and preparation for higher education and their scholarships. It is also about forming the whole person and giving each student the opportunity to thrive in every aspect of human life - spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally. At St. Joseph Catholic School, we desire not only to give our students a quality education that will prepare them well for future endeavors, but also to form our students in the life of virtue and in the life of grace. This is a gift that is unique to a Christian school and, in some ways, particular to a Catholic School.

We're blessed to live in the United States of America, and there are so many good things that our world and our country can offer our children. But, in the midst of all that good, there are certainly some persons, ideologies, and even material things that will become an obstacle to human flourishing for students as they move from childhood, through adolescence, and into adulthood. Our school, serving children from preschool through the completion of 8th grade, is able to give our students a solid foundation in academics, virtue, and, as disciples of Jesus Christ, prepare them to use and contribute to the good in our world, as well as to reject that which is truly not good for them. Our faculty and staff are committed, in Christian love, to assisting and guiding our students in the establishment of that solid foundation.

I invite you to join our school family, either as a recipient of this well-rounded Catholic education or in support of the work we do to provide the best opportunities possible for our students.

May God bless you and draw you close!

Sincerely in Christ,

Fr. Jay Buhman
Pastor and Chief Administrative Officer
