Welcome to St. Joseph Catholic School, a vibrant educational community rooted in faith, academic excellence, and loving service. Founded in 1979 as part of the Diocese of Lincoln, our school serves students from preschool through 8th grade, forming disciples of Jesus through a nurturing and dynamic learning environment.
Our Mission
We, the family of St. Joseph School, build up the Kingdom of God as we work together in faith, knowledge, and loving service. This mission guides every aspect of our school life—from classroom instruction to community outreach.
Our History
St. Joseph School opened its doors on August 24, 1979, with just 65 students in grades K–3. Since then, our campus has grown to include 18 classrooms, specialty rooms for art, music, science, and technology, a media center/library, gymnasium, cafeteria, and resource rooms. Our founding pastor, Msgr. Thomas Holoman, envisioned a place of Christian joy and academic excellence—a vision we continue to uphold today.
Faith & Formation
As a Catholic school, we integrate faith into daily life through prayer, liturgy, religious instruction, and service. Our students participate in Mass, sacramental preparation, and spiritual development activities that foster a deep relationship with Christ.
Academic Excellence
With a student-teacher ratio of approximately 13:1, our dedicated faculty provides personalized instruction across core subjects and enrichment programs. We offer a well-rounded curriculum that includes art, band, computer science, physical education, and vocal music.
Community & Service
St. Joseph School is more than a place of learning—it's a family. We encourage students to grow in character and compassion through service projects, leadership opportunities, and community events such as Catholic Schools Week, Red Ribbon Week, and the annual Science Fair.
Leadership
Our school is led by Principal Mr. Kevin Naumann and Assistant Principal Sister Mary Angela, C.K., under the spiritual guidance of Father Michael McCabe. Together with our faculty and staff, they foster a safe, supportive, and faith-filled environment for every student.
