St. Joseph and North American Martyrs School Counselor

St. Joseph Catholic School & North American Martyrs Catholic School are seeking a faith-filled, compassionate, dedicated School Counselor to share time between both schools; 3 days a week at St. Joseph and 2 days a week at North American Martyrs.

The ideal candidate will do the following:

  • • Maintain high professional standards consistent with the missions of North American Martyrs and St. Joseph Schools
  • • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in school counseling, reflective of Christian anthropology
  • • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to address the needs of students and the school community
  • • Provide guidance and support to students with academic, social, emotional, or behavioral issues
  • • Assist students with goal setting
  • • Show awareness and sensitivity to unique student needs and be able to proactively plan and apply effective teaching strategies for each student’s success.
  • • Strong team member committed to collaboration, building strong relationships, and content integration


Qualifications

  • • Masters in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
  • • State School Counseling Certification
  • • Experience working in a school setting and counseling students
  • • Knowledge of various counseling models, practices, and resources
  • • Strong communication skills and high emotional intelligence
  • • Experience with conflict resolution and crisis management

Before School Opportunity

For the 2025-2026 school year, St. Joseph’s is looking for supervisors for students in the cafeteria between 7:30-7:55 am, Monday through Friday. Duties include supervising while students gather at tables by grade level and then dismissing them to classrooms when the bell rings.
