Tracy Smith brings more than 25 years of teaching experience to her 5th graders at St. Joseph School. Published twice in the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, Mrs. Smith is adept at making each one of her students feel like a “who’s who” of the classroom - whether through daily work or in her signature American history wax museum annual event. Mrs. Smith is trained in the nationally recognized Boys Town Education Model, a premier school-based approach that focuses on managing behavior, building relationships and teaching social skills, as well as a variety of educational technology tools including Blackboard, Smartboard, PowerPoint, and Power School. Her classroom also participates in Junior Achievement, a collaborative partnership with business leaders to teach students business and economic concepts. Mrs. Smith also serves on a variety of committees including SFA board, SCIP, and Student Council sponsor.
