Cheryl Bell brings 31 years of teaching experience to St. Joseph School families. With a bachelor's in education, Mrs. Bell’s area of expertise is 7th and 8th grade math and algebra. In 1998 Mrs. Bell was recognized for excellence in teaching 6th grade science as an honorable mention for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching. Mrs. Bell’s students reap many benefits from her dedication and passion. She continues to study her craft and has trained in the Madeleine Hunter Instructional Theory into Practice (ITIP) Teaching Model, Developing the Independent Learner, Project T.E.A.C.H., SPICA Science Training, the Boys Town Education Model, Discipline with a Purpose, Powerschool, Multicultural Education, over 16 hours of Nebraska Association of Teachers of Science training workshops, the RTI Math Intervention Workshop, School and Community Intervention and Prevention (SCIP), and Power Teacher for which she is a school captain.
