Kim Evans brings 32 years of teaching experience to St. Joseph School families, including six years as a special education teacher. Mrs. Evans has a B.A. degree in Elementary education, in addition to over 24 hours of graduate coursework. For 25 years Mrs. Evans has taught 5th, 6th, and 7th grade, 16 of which have been at St. Joseph’s, and is currently in her ninth year as the junior high literature teacher, which allows her to feed her love of reading full-time with her students. Mrs. Evans enjoys “teaching students her love of great books” and co-founded a summer book club for middle level students who love to read. She implements the latest teaching and learning techniques in her classroom through ongoing continuing education and training including the Madeline Hunter Teaching Method, Discipline with a Purpose, “Developing Capable People,” the Boys Town Education Model and 6 Trait Writing. She is also a Student Council sponsor and a former teacher representative to the School Family Association for nine years.
