John Rotter brings 27 years of teaching experience to St. Joseph School families. With a B.S. degree in Middle School Education, Mr. Rotter teaches 7th and 8th grade science and chemistry and physics electives, as well as coordinating the junior high science fair each year. He also coaches volleyball and basketball as well as the junior high “Brain Brawl” Academic Team which secured city-wide championships in 2001 and 2010. Mr. Rotter utilizes the latest teaching techniques in his classrooms through ongoing and extensive continuing education including workshops such as: the University of Nebraska’s Scientific Inquiry, a weeklong class with weekend workshops throughout the semester; the Nebraska Association of Teachers of Science; the Nebraska Catholic Education Association; the Boys Town Education Model; technology training; Harry Wong; and PowerTeacher.
