Barb Tremain has been teaching at St. Joseph School for 26 years, with a total of 35 years of experience to her credit. Formerly a second grade teacher and now a fourth grade teacher, she holds a B.S. degree in Education with a Masters degree in Education Curriculum and Instruction. Mrs. Tremain has a passion for, and special expertise in, the areas of math and life science and transmits this energy to her students daily through fun, hands-on, and manipulatives-based instruction. She is trained in the Boys Town Education Model, School Community Intervention and Prevention (SCIP), and has received extensive technology training in tools such as Smartboard, Blackboard, PowerPoint and the internet. She is one of the founders of the St. Joseph School Safety Committee and is a teacher representative for the St. Joseph School Family Association. In addition, Mrs. Tremain has attended multiple workshops on bullying and nonviolence.
