Georgia Blumenstock has been in variety of educational settings over the years. As a Lincoln native, she first began teaching in Lincoln Public Schools at Dawes Middle School. Later, she and her husband moved to O’Neill, Nebraska where she coordinated the Religious Education Program, Adult Formation, and Youth Retreats for St. Patrick’s parish. After eight years, she went back to the classroom at St. Mary’s Catholic schools in O’Neill, first in Preschool and later as the K-12 Art teacher. In 2017, Georgia and her husband Brad decided to move the family back to Lincoln. There, she spent two years working at the UNL Center for Children, Youth, Family and Schools as a Research Coordinator for a study on the best practices and policies in Early Education. In 2020, she began teaching Art at St. Joseph’s Catholic School and is extremely grateful to be back in the Catholic school system. She loves being able to see and get to know all the students in the school each week and integrating the Catholic faith and art together. Georgia is grateful to the St. Joseph’s School family for the opportunity to work with the students to develop and foster their creative abilities through unique, hands-on projects. In her spare time, she loves to be with her family, travel, walk, and read.
